Information for the year 2012

Horsehay's Dave Brown & Karen Smith won the Doubles trophy. They defeated Madeley's Chris Lodge & Les Mumford 21-14 in the final played at Bridgnorth BC. Full details are on the competitions page.


Paul Reeves (Horsehay) won the 2012 Singles Cup with a 21-12 victory over Rob Beddows in the final played at Abbey. Beaten semi-finalists were 2011 winner Alex Jones (Horsehay) and Tim Ealey (Islanders). Full details are on the competitions page.


Congratulations to Mo Parton of Stockton for completing a competitions double by winning the Jim Palmer Trophy at Bylet. Mo defeated home bowler Tony Steadman 21-21 in the final (Tony needed to score 23).


Stockton's Mo Parton won the Ladies Singles Trophy with a 21-13 victory over Barbara Dearne (Chelmarsh) at Highley. Full details are on the competitions page.


At the Extraordinary General Meeting held on Monday 5th March, the application from Horsehay 'B' to join the league was approved. They will play their home fixtures at Stockton. This means that for the 2012 season, there will be 12 teams in Division 1 (Madeley 'B' will not be relegated) and 11 teams in Division 2.

Fixture Secretary Frank Booth reported that the league would start on Tuesday 10th April and that there would be no scheduled fixtures on Jubilee Day (5th June).
