Individual Competitions

Ladies Singles:  Sun 7th June 1.45pm scratch,  venue Horsehay.
The winner will be offered a place in the Ladies Champion of Champions competition to be played on Sunday 11th October.

Mark Bennett Memorial & Division 2 Singles: Qualifying Tue 16th June, Finals Sun 26th July, venue Stockton. Entries close 9th June. Sunday 26th July is the 5th anniversary of the loss of Mark.
The winner will be offered a place in the Shropshire Champion of Champions competition to be played on Sunday 18th October at Bicton.

Jim Palmer Memorial (over 60): Sun 28th June 12.45pm scratch, venue Bridgnorth Bowling Club.
The winner will be offered a place in the Veterans Champion of Champions competition to be played on Sunday 11th October.

Division 1 & Division 2 Doubles: Qualifying Tue 4th August, Finals Sun 6th September venue Shifnal. Entries close 28th July.

President's Cup & Consolation

Preliminary Round:  Tue 14th July.
Round 1 both competitions: Tue 11th August.
Quarter -finals  both competitions: Tue 25th August.
Semi-Finals both competitions: Tue 8th September.

Finals Day & Presentation: Sun 27th September venue Broseley.

Ladies Singles Sunday 7th June at Horsehay

Ten ladies representing Horsehay, Shifnal & Stockton played in the Ladies Singles at Horsehay on Sunday 7th June.

Congratulations to the winner: Kelsie Harris (Horsehay) who beat teammate Beth Reeves 21-16 in the final. Full scores are on the results service here.

Thanks to Horsehay BC for the use of their green, all the measurers and card markers and league treasurer Jeanette Bennett for presenting the trophy.

Jim Palmer Memorial Veterans Sunday 28th July 2026 at Bridgnorth BC

Congratulations to Claire Williams (Islanders) on winning the Jim Palmer Memorial Trophy at Bridgnorth. In the final she beat teammate and League Chairman John Palmer 21-20.

Losing semi-finalists were Allan Ludlow-Rhodes (Broseley) and John Pritchard (Stockton). Full scores are here.

The trophy was presented by league Vice-Chairman Rob Renke who also thanked the host club for their generous hospitality, all the markers and measurers and everyone who had stayed to watch the final.

Tuesday 16th June 6.45pm scratch: Mark Bennett Memorial at Bridgnorth & Worfield, Division 2 at Highley & Much Wenlock. Four to qualify from each venue. Finals at Stockton on Sunday 26th July, division 2 quarter finals to start at 1.30pm, Mark Bennett quarter finals at 2.15pm.
