The two qualifiers at Bylet were Pete Burd & Simon Madeley (Horsehay) and Nick Flatters & Graham Kitchen (Mortimer). Those at Shifnal were Andy James & Frank Leek (Highley) and Mick Rhodes & Kev Carter (Broseley).
In an eventful session at Highley, the four qualifiers were Pete Gyldard & Geoff Wills, Keith Banks & Tony Partridge (both Much Wenlock), Jane Wherton & Les Davies (Worfield) and Syd Jones & Stan Chapman (Chelmarsh).
Many thanks to John Pritchard for organising the events at Shifnal and Guy Lewis at Highley. Also to Tony Jones for staying until the last match finished at Highley at 11.20pm.

The draws for the knockout cups have been made and are now on the results service - division 1 & division 2 and copied below. The preliminary round of the division 1 cup is on Tuesday 15th July and for the division 2 cup a day later on the 16th. Note though that Stockton B will play Islanders B at Broseley on Wednesday 23rd July due to a clash with the Mid-Shropshire Ashton Shield and Squirrel will play Bridgnorth B on Thursday 17th July at Bylet.

23Jun25 by John PalmerEntries are invited for the Division 1 (open to all Highley League bowlers) and the Division 2 trophies (open to bowlers who have played fewer than 2 games in Division 1).
Qualifying (if required) will be on Tuesday 5th August (venues to be arranged depending on the number of entries). Finals will be played on Sunday 7th September at Broseley.
Entry fee is £10 per pair which will be accepted on the day you play.

Players are reminded that they can only play in only one of these competitions, not both as they are played at the same time.

Dates and venues have now been confirmed for the two one day league competitions. Both competitions can be entered on the day and the entry fee will be £5.
Open to all lady bowlers registered to play in the league.
Venue: Stockton
Date: Sunday 1st June, 1.45pm draw for a 2pm start.
Open to all league bowlers over the age of 60.
Venue: Bylet
Date Sunday 29th June, 12.45pm draw for a 1pm start.

13Mar25 by John PalmerThe following proposals have been received and will be discussed at the AGM...
League officers propose that the entry fee per team should be increased from £100 to £110.
Horsehay want the number of players in a team to revert to 10 (or if that fails to 9).
Albrighton want to rejoin the league. If accepted, the number of teams in each division will have to be agreed.

The 2025 AGM will be held on Tuesday 25th February at Bridgnorth Bowling Club, starting at 7.30pm.
The agenda for the meeting is here and minutes of the 2024 AGM are here.
Any proposals for rule changes need to be lodged with the secretary by midnight on 18th February.
